Last week, Mrs Snaylam was invited to watch former pupil Nife in action for Tottenham Hotspur Women’s Under-19s. Nife has been part of the Club’s Academy set-up since Under-14 level, having previously developed within the Emerging Talent Centre.
Nife delivered an outstanding performance in Tottenham’s impressive 7–2 victory over Newcastle United. Starting in central midfield, she played a key role in a team display that was dominant in possession throughout. As the game progressed, the overall standard rose noticeably, with Tottenham growing confidently into their rhythm and control.
Nife was at the heart of this, contributing both creatively and offensively. She scored a superb goal from just inside the 18-yard box, striking the ball with precision and composure. She came close to adding a second with an effort that crashed against the underside of the bar; although it was not given, it further highlighted her attacking threat and technical quality.
Off the pitch, Nife continues to impress by balancing the demands of A-Level studies alongside competing at such a high standard. Her commitment and maturity in managing both areas are commendable.
It was a privilege to be invited to watch her play, and everyone at Abbot’s Hill is incredibly proud of all that Nife has achieved. She is a fantastic example of dedication, talent and hard work.

“The physical space and openness of the site is reflected in the attitude of the school – it’s not pushy but gently encouraging and appears to nurture confidence, independence and leadership in a way that can’t be faked, certainly not to the astute young people of today”
